Chris, does the knock happen if you bounce that corner when the Jeep is parked?

Well the clicking is from the disconnect. I do have the knock when driving disconnected.

I can't possibly listen to that video with a straight face.
I'm going to ask Angie to listen and see if she can pinpoint the sound...

Get someone to bounce that corner while you look underneath and use a calibrated ear to try and track it down.

Possibly a loose or worn shock mount?
Check for movement in both the top and bottom of the shock where it mounts while bouncing the Jeep.

Re: front end knock and can't figure it out...
Well it wasn't the ball joints, replaced them yesterday and the knock is still there ;(
Going to check the control arms this week. I think the knock is the sleeve slapping against the bolt caused by force going over a bump.

Have you checked the bushing on the track bar at the axle end?

Re: front end knock and can't figure it out...
Well today I removed the control arms, no issues with them. Also unbolted the bottom shock mount and everything appeared fine. Completely stumped with the knocking ARUGH..
Wheel bearing replaced, ball joints replaced, control arms good, tire rod & ends good, track bar good....
Am I missing anything??

Kurt I think you are correct!! If I hold the body of the shock on the driver side, there is "some" play/movement. Where the passenger side there is no play at all.Kurt wrote:Possibly a loose or worn shock mount?

Going to remove the shock, take a quick spin around the block to test. I have changed everything else, so running out of options!!
