Re-calibrate speedo programer anyone have one?
Not that it is a big to have the speedo off, however in the end my total milage will not be correct. Does anyone have a programer so I can recalibrate?

doesn't your Jeep use a speedo gear? IIRC the downside of the superchips is it is wed to a VIN so you cant use it on multiple rigs. FAIL...

I have been told that a dealer can go in to your computer and change it. I went to have mine done and even after 3 different techs said they could do it they ended up being wrong. They said my computer was from an off year and they could not interface with it. I told them to stick it once I heard they still wanted to charge me.

BUT - if she does give in, OR you just happen to order 35's and they just HAPPEN to be shipped to your door..... those 33's you have would look pretty sweet on my rig

Re: Re-calibrate speedo programer anyone have one?
just curious, how far off is it? If 35" tires will correct it, and you're running 33's now, then.... ummmm.... ......... carry the two..... then your speedo / odometer is over reporting your speed / mileage by 6.448% (assuming my HS math is right). So when your speedo says 70 MPH, you're really going about 65. And after 100,000 miles, your odometer will read 106,448Little Napoleon wrote:Not that it is a big to have the speedo off, however in the end my total milage will not be correct

Re: Re-calibrate speedo programer anyone have one?
It ranges from being off by 5mph to 15mph
example when the odometer reads 35, I am actually traveling ~ 27. However at 65-70 I am ~ 51mph...

Actually, your speed is off consistantly based on percentage. 27 divided by 35 = .77 so that would be 23% off. The average of 65-70 is 67.5 divided by 51 = .75 or 25% off.
Your best bet would be to go with this: http://www.superlift.com/accessories/truspeed.asp
