94 cherokee question

so i recently baught a 94 cherokee 4.0 HO with an auto trans.. when i put it in reverse and give it a little NUT it blows the 2nd engine controller fuse under the hood and the engine dies... it only does this in reverse.. anyone have any gestimations why it would do this?

Something is shorting only when in reverse.... Maybe check the Neutral Safety Switch on the side of the tranny.

I should have said this before... I'd also track down a FSM and start examining wiring diagrams... Might be able to figure out what is on the circuit that only gets used when you're in reverse...
