Tie Rod Flip: best (and cheapest) upgrade I did all year

Thanks to Kurt for helping me today. We installed my new (used) Currie Currectlync steering system and did a TRE flip on the drivers side. I knew it would lift the tie rod but wow it REALLY lifts it out of the way! If I had to guess, I'd say it's at least 4" higher than it was, based on the fact that prior to the flip, my tie rod ran across the dead center of my diff cover

I'll post a few pics. And yeah it handles like a different Jeep! My Rugged Ridge was a good system but when I went to a 4" lift, it got real squirrelly. For the first time in a long time, it wasn't a white knuckle ride home!

Nope. Can never forget a funny moment.

White knuckle sucks. I remember pulling in the yard after a run and when I yanked on the tie rod to check it, the rod pulled off the ball. I walked into the house and had a cold one.

Here's a couple pics. No sense posting a 'before' pic, you know what it looks like stock. But before the flip, the tie rod went right across the center of the diff cover. You couldn't read ROCK CRUSHER

The flip kit came with a flange nut. The stock castle nut is to narrow and doesn't bite the knuckle (knuckle is drilled out to 3/4" to accept new insert). Jurt modded the flange nut with grooves, I didn't like the idea of losing my cotter pin

There's different options for flip kits. After hearing good things about them, I went with Go-Fer-It Offroad. I recommend them. Oh yeah, this mod is only like $20!
