BTW - I love you guys.

Angie will like a nice HOT shower too. <- She didn't want me to hook up an on board shower to the Heep.

Jeff/Joe,

At the moment my extra generator is in Dracut at a co-workers house. They got power back last night and no longer need the generator.
Unfortunately I can't get over that way until after work today to fetch it.

Jeff - maybe you can grab John C's?

The diesel generator I've got won't start and now they batteries are dead, so I can't do much more tinkering....

Ended up biting the bullet and buying a generator last night.... I got the last/only Generac they had. Picked up some misc electrical bits and wired it in when I got home. I could have lived without power, but not having any running water and losing all the food in the fridge is a major PITA.

The Lowes in Lowel, MA had a lot of the 5500W models w/ Briggs engines last night when I left.... No lines or wait when I got there either. There were a fair number if them being moved. When I left they had an entire pallet full and another 8-10 sitting on flat carts ready to roll. People were coming in with receipts for online purchases pretty regularly.

None of the Home Depot or Lowes in southern NH had any / knew when they'd be getting them.

Thanks man. It worked out great with John's, as Jeff had to work only a couple of buildings down from me.

With the Jeep/ 500W inverter, I was able to run the house lights, Alex's nebulizer, & radio. I probably could have run the boiler, but didn't try. My new Beckett burner is a 1/7HP 1.7amp, which is about 200 watts. With the genny though, we have TV, hot water, & fans to circulate the air from the wood stove. It's really nice!

Day 7 and still no power
We did get cable and internet back yesterday
Power company finally appeared this morning and started to clear downed trees and work on the lines and poles.

Fingers crossed......

:banana-guitar: Happy days! The power has been restored! :music-rockout:

Time to give the generator an oil change, Stabil the gas and tuck it away for the next natural disaster heading our way
