Welcome! Any plans for armor? Especially under armor. Hope to see you on the trails!

Hi Marcel!
glad you found the way to the fourm. A lot of people cut up the factory front bumper to make it a stubby.. you are also welcome to post up a WTB (wanted to buy) in our for sale forum!

Re: hi from New Bedford
yes armor is on the list but as we all know there are budgets to think of and this is my only way to work so weight has to be taken account for.
are stubby bumpers ok for the road or are the cops going to keep stoping me. i know the sport model needs help ot be trail ready guess i figured start at frount and work my way back.
me and the wife spent a lot of time on the cape at race point on the sand just to get the feel of it and to see what needed to be packed away.
did some trails it state forest near here also

The Mass law does not specify the details of stubby bumpers. The law does state that it needs to be there and have no sharp protrusions. I don't think you'll have any issues with one.
Regarding the modifications to your rig, the JK platform is pretty capable out of the box. A 2" lift would help, but not really necessary to go out and have fun - even at a club event.

Re: hi from New Bedford
I recommend at least an evap canister skid before going out... cost about $100 bucks but that poor thing is just sitting there waiting to be destroyed and it will cost more than $100 to fix.

Speaking from experience, listen to Marky.
I'd also recommend a fuel tank skid plate. I used to think the factory one was pretty tough. That was before I lost 2 gallons of fuel capacity.
