Thanks Frank! and a HUGE thanks to Jon W for helping me install the brake controller and borrow his trailer for the trip! Our quick 1-2 hr job soon bloomed into a longer deal as the factor harness for the brake controler was not wired properly.. thanks Jeep... :angry-cussingblack:

Nice! You'll have a much easier time pulling Jon's than the 11K rated beast.

Have fun guys....wish I could go.

Plus my trailer has the right weight distributing hitch setup for a vehicle like Jeff's and the suspension geometry is basically the same so it didn't require adjustments. That will make the whole trip a lot nicer.

Hope you guys have a great trip... I'm slowing working through the list of things I have to do that caused me to cancel.... Progress is being made!!

Made it here yesterday at 5 Jon your trailer kicks but! The commander did fine on the hills. Ryan treated us to taters and tots around the fire and the the sky OPENED up and gave us hell for a while around midnight looking forward to wheeling today!!

simply put this place was a blast and I was sad to have to leave again. But the spring trip will be here soon. No major carnage or hairy moments this time out. We rocked the creek and covered 30 off road miles. I recorded the tracks on my Garmin and will post up a map of what we covered but no doubt we had a blast.

yes you saw my flop line.... neither side was an option this year as there was heavy erosion on both sides of that line... thank god I didnt have to face that demon down ;) the second pic of those climbs has a ledge that is above Ryans waist. you would need a buggy on 40s to climb that side now...

Maybe you just need to add a JATO rocket to your jeep....

well Ryan made the call that the right side wasn't doable. the left side (my side) would have taken repeated attempts on 35s to dig a trough for the skids and diffs and that was not on the menu for me... :hand:
