Mounting a pump on the ABS platform

Unread post by Hoodoo Man »

So i need to mount up an ARB pump on the ABS tray under the master cylinder. I was looking at it last night and was wondering if I need to pull the tray out to be able to through bolt the pump to the platform. I cant see how I can attach more than 2 bolts to the side as I cant reach under the tray except near the edge. when I tried to remove the 4 or so bolts that hold the base of the platform to the Jeep they seem to just spin. Im guessing I can get vice grips on the outter two bolts but what about the ones on the firewall side? :? Any thoughts or advice on this?

Yes, you will need to pull the tray to mount the compressor. I can provide photos and exact dimensions so that you can clear the brake crap that is in the way.

I removed the tray and mounted the compressors to it on Kellys Rubi. I don't remember having a hard time with it, it was only 2 years old at the time though.
Not much help, I know.
