Parachutes

Unread post by DDewar53 »

I though this was funny - my son's girlfriend said

"You don't need a parachute to go skydiving. You only need a parachute if you want to go twice."
Pacifism is a shifty doctrine under which a man accepts the benefits of the social group without being willing to pay - and claims a halo for his dishonesty.

Don't tell that to my wife. It scared the crap out of me when she jumped out of a plane.

jumping out of a plane is fantastic Joe, nothin' to be scared of!!! It's the most peaceful surreal thing you can imagine!

Ironically, she wouldn't go on Superman Ride of Steel with me.

My excuse for not jumping that day, was because we would have had to go together and it wasn't worth the risk of leaving Michaela alone (pre-Alex) if something bad happened. I started my pilots license when I was kid and know that planes are like most cars - old and abused.
As it turned out, Angie heard them talk about some problem on the way to 10,000ft. Go figure.

Overall, I'd say we're equally nuts.

You are both too funny!! As an ONLY parent anything I've done since having my son runs a risk of leaving him alone..... gotta have SOME fun tho'!

Think of it this way - if there's any trouble with the plane while parachuting you are wayyyy safer with the shute on your back than you would be going to florida with no shute.... just sayin' :)
