Introducing myself

Unread post by ToplessTJ »

Just sayin' Hey !
I just submitted my app for new member with BSJ.
I've had my '99 TJ Wrangler or six years now, first and only one and i love it. I hope to upgrade the suspension and lift it up a lil' (although downsized tires to 30" -What was i thinkin'?) Need to get a new front drive shaft so I'll be touch with Elias.
I did some off-roading while I lived in NH near Laconia/Belmont but haven't been at all in last few years. Now live in Medford, MA and saw BSJ on a jeep tire cover and looked you guys up and you seem to be an alright bunch of jeepers :)
My first Jeep event at GTD this past weekend and it was a great experience meeting alot of people - So far, I've met Carl, Mark & Mike with BJS; the 'mean guy' Lou @ Elias; a Mudchick Jen & Josh from Laconia @ Jeep Rally booth and several others.
Looking forward to meetin' up with you again !

Welcome aboard! :P
BSJ is a great group of Jeepers.

Carl is your "neighbor" in Medford. He just did an awesome tech article on how to rebuild a CV (double cardan) driveshaft joint.
(He just rebuilt his DS)
Maybe you can use the pointers in his article to possibly fix your DS.

Thankyouverymuch everybody :) and my app got accepted so you're stuck with me now !!
@SidewaysTim and Frank and smileyfish- thanks!
@ jquader: i thought about that for a long while before meeting up! However, on the trail rides if my jeep is too low for the more dif rides, maybe i can go with someone else as passenger?
@Kurt - i didn't know that. 'll have to check that out.
@Chris, i believe so. I'm unable to post pics as of yet.
@mightymeglet i signed a waiver at entrance but there was a girl there first. I didn't make it on the trial with my jeep due to lack of front DS (ouch)
@Northshore Jeeper - that's becuz i wasn't at the spring meeting. I missed it, unfortunately.

@Carl thanks. I enjoyed meeting everyone. the DS is at shop and where the U Joint is it moves left/ride and up/down. there's a pin and if i think a coil and it's broken. i wrote down the details just gotta locate it. but it's where it meets with differential. So i was going to buy one at Elias and have shipped to me. It's quoted $150 for repaired DS Right now, driving w/o it. So no havin fun out there for me right now unless i tag along as psnger.

:looks down: yep I'm still a girl. Must have been me. I only got to go on the trails once, and it became an interview. Maybe next time Joe won't kick me out of his Jeep, meanie :P

@Nothtshore Jeeper - I'm actually really bad with names/faces. I've met a few people 5 or 6 times before I remember meting someone. Maybe/hopefully next time.
