Auto Vs. Stick

Unread post by Frank »

Would it matter, Say if your donor vehicle is a auto , and you put a stick behind it in another vehicle. Do you need a stick computer for the engine to respond normally? Taking an engine from the auto car and putting it in a stick car is what im saying. FjR68

It ought to be OK assuming the car getting the engine already has a "stick" computer and wiring in it.

Nope : The Jeep getting the engine has a stick but no peuter. The donor has the engine, auto and peuter. I was hoping to only use the engine management portion (under hood) of the computer. Thanks Kurt : FjR68
