New guy from Enfield, CT

Unread post by Jumper »

Hey guys, I'm new to the board. My name is Dave and I'm out of Enfield CT. I used to wheel with Berkshire 4 Wheelers and I've been looking for a new group of guys to get out with.

Please post a pic of your jeep.
The Jeep is currently a 100% stock 1995 YJ. 4cyl, 5spd. No bumps or bruises.

Tell us about the mods you hope to make in the future.
Things to come:
TBI 350
SM465
I have yet to acquire a transfer case. I might have a lead on a 203/205 doubler.
One tons (I have a set of 78.5 fords dana 60/dana 70 but I think chevys would be easier and I could keep a chevy drivtrain.)

How long have you been a member of Baystate?
I'm not currently a member, but I'm looking. I know a few of the members of the club and they are all good guys and good to wheel with.

How long have you been offroading?
I started wheeling a few years ago

Is this your first jeep?
This is my first jeep. My previous Rig was a 1987 yota pickup, stock 2.4L, dual cases, 5.29s/aussie locked rear on 36" iroks. Image

Greetings Dave. Welcome to the forum.

Either Ford or Chebby setup would be strong. I may be acquiring a set of GM one tons after the dang snow melts and could possibly be interested in a trade for the Ford units. Maybe in Spring...

Yeah, I think Frank may have asked the board about trading for me. My Ford axles are currently snow covered so it'll be a while for me anyway.

Thanks Frank. Hopefully I'll be able to get this thing together to wheel this season. The doubler I had a lead on was sold, so back to the drawing board.

Hey frank, winter was long and uneventful. I actually decided to sell the yj and I'm gonna look at others that have the 4.0. Doing a 350 swap is more effort than it seems worth so I'll grab a straight six and slap my Ford tons under it. My little sister is actually buying my current 4cyl yj and she is going to throw some 31 or 33s on it and do some light wheeling so I'll be sending her over to this club.

Hey Dave, if you're looking for a new club for your rig, check out New England 4 Wheelers. We are mostly big rigs and buggies driven by grumpy old guys. We have an annual BBQ and will have another cool raffle this year (raffled a trailer last year).
