Hello,
I have to rebuild my 4:11 rear end Dana 30 I believe. Have never done this before. Looking for someone that might be able to help me with this. Thinking about a Detroit locker at this time. Just not sure what comes with the locker an what else I would need to get. Also don't no how to set pre load.
Is ther anyone in the central MA area that might be able to help me out. The Jeep is located in my shop in Harvard and is apart so can't be move at this time so it will have to be repaired at shop.
Tks
Todd

Todd - Moved your post to it's own thread.
After I finish my rear ARB install, I could help out. Is there anything wrong with the current set of gears or are you just looking to install a Detroit locker? If you are just installing the locker, you should only have to adjust backlash.

Thanks Chris,
I spoke with Lou at Elias and of course I'm totally confused as to what to do now. Lou gave me #s to try and fine a used axle , but no luck with that. I guess I could give it a couple of weeks and see if anything comes up. He is getting me a price for the parts I would need to put it back together as stock. As he does not reccomend putting that locker in with my 27 splines.
So if you know anyone that has a stock axle or better with 4:11that is an option.
Thanks
Todd

Todd do you know if you have a Dana 35 or Dana 44 axle? What tire size are you running, planning to run? What is wrong with your current axle?
