Just realized I didn't post this here.
Putting together a woods buggy. Nothing crazy, just a fun beater rig.
Here's the chassis I picked up last December. She needs the back half done, but I have a lot of options depending on the rear suspension setup. Right now, I'm thinking SOA front and air shocks in the rear.
The frame rails may not suit my needs, so I may have to move the cockpit over to a TJ frame that will be back-half'd and linked. It depends on how tight the 4.0L is between the rails.
So far I've collected the following components:
1993 XJ 4.0L; Came with everything including the ECM.
NV3550 transmission
231/231 doubler (maybe! depending on budget and/or fab skillz with Al tig welding)
31 spline 9" rear
Waggy 44 front with hydro assist.
Willys Pickup front grill
Tires will be the 38x15.5 Claws off my Wrangler
Picked up some sexay 4340 chromo front shafts too. Probably going to step up to Yukon super joints.
Hoping to work on it after the 4 feet of snoe melts.
Stay tuned.....

Re: Joe's Buggy Build
I think I settled on a simple design for the B pillar back. The square section in the rear will house a body panel with tail lights.

You're building a recumbent bicycle?
I am the foremost authority on my opinion.
