Re: Rims and tire questions

Being less stiff, wouldn't load range C offer more flex than E? I would think that is a highly desirable feature when off-roading. No? At the same PSI it would. Drop the Pressure and increase the flex. Thats one of the reasons airing a stock street tire down below 17-18 PSI isn't advisable. I bet i...

Re: Rims and tire questions

Load E is all I've typically run because of the size tired I e gone with. With proper pressure in the tires, they ride smooth, and conform well also. On the street, I have em aired down to about 24-26 psi, and off road about 13. Load E has a stronger sidewall to cope with increased loads, but also h...

Re: Focus group in Needham invitation

I called on my lunch break, apparently they were also on lunch break. No automated answering system. Seems like you'll actually get a person to talk to which would be nice.

At 30, I fall right in their age range.

Is this my membership into the "Entry Level Big Boys Club"?
Well, for most it might be, but you do still have the wheelbase of a limo.

It's more of a "welcome-to-the-my-jeep-doesn't-look-funny-with-tiny-tires-Club"!

X3 on the first set. As a fellow vertically challenged individual, I find that the step helps when working the soft top, working in the engine, cleaning and yes, ngetting in and out.

The added benefit is that the step could also be used as a jack point for a hi-lift.

Re: New Tire Issues

You could try to find a 4x4 specialist shop like Elias in Townsend MA, Rachets in Pelham NH or similar shop that will both source and install the tires and spacers. Move away from the franchise-type place that is in bed with certain brands. Aside from that, I'd shop around for a different tire. Mayb...

Re: Chasing Issues

I have the Teraflex adjustable trackbar and lower arms in both the front and rear. The shocks are Bilstein 5100, model unknown but were for a 2.5-3" lift I had at the time, and I have 3" Teraflex springs currently. I'll double check the sway bar links in the rear. It feels like the shock d...

Re: Chasing Issues

I used the bolt that came with the kit, and I had a fellow jeeper watch it and he said the bolt was definitely moving. I didn't take it off to confirm. The issue came about after Rausch, so the pre-existing plywood box isn't the culprit for that. I'll have to double check the spring/control arms. Wh...

Re: Chasing Issues

Post Rausch, I've got a couple issues. First, the trackbar is loose on the passenger side bracket. Appears that the hole has been egged out. I've heard that a welded washer can remedy this, but how long is that repair good for? The second thing is that the jeep seems to have a stiff shock in the rea...
