Re: Trading my TJ for a Honda
Sorry for the delay in replies, but it was a busy weekend. All the items are listed on Ebay, the doors starting at $250, the shade top at starting at $10, and the CB packaged with a receiver D-ring and recovery strap starting at $40. Unfortunately the Antenna and cable stayed with the Jeep, as I cou...

Trading my TJ for a Honda
As of Saturday, I will no longer be a Jeep  owner. The two hours a day up and down 128 and 95 was just too much for the old TJ (and my gas budget) , so I decided to trade her in on a new hatchback while the dealers would still give me a couple bucks. Sooo...I have a couple things left over, lik...

Re: Trailer Bearings
Me too!! When I figured out the only thing keeping my camper on the wheels was a loose nut and an old bent cotter pin, I splurged for the 28 cents for new ones.

Re: Air bag light and CEL code P0455
I checked the vacuum lines...nothing obvious....which plug came loose? They all seem to have snap-locks, not sure how they could even get loose.

Air bag light and CEL code P0455
Anyone know what can cause the airbag light to pop up? My CEL came on Friday night on the way home (code P0455) I figured loose gas cap again, but Saturday the airbag light came on too, while I was driving. Is this a dealer only diagnostic, or can my local guy figure it out maybe?

Interesting article in Car & Driver from P.J. O'Rourke about how the Wrangler is ricidulous, impractical, and uncomfortable....plus how much he loves it.

Re: Spray painting a bumper??
I used Rust-Guard Hammered Effect spray paint. You can skip the primer if you want (I didn't), it goes right over rust, the color is just on the grey side of black, so it matches the faded color of everything else, and the hammered metal effect is very forgiving in the finish department. A once a ye...
