Re: Driveshafts?
Tom woods no doubt. Big sponsor of local events and gives back to the community. I ran them on my TJ for years with zero issues. I like non-greasable as they are stronger and less maintenance. My JKU is still on the original factory u joints in the DS after 120K miles.

Re: Spring Wrenchfest?
funny you should ask... I'm close to having a wrenchfest, possibly the day after the spring meeting to work on a few projects. would 3/15 work for people? I can get a two-bay heated garage in Westford and we can do a number of small projects and I will have a moderate size one that is somewhat time-...

Re: Handheld 2-ways
I don't know if this is 100% accurate but as I understand it there were some changes made to the "new post-ban" Baofeng radios. I was told the new ones do not have the "illegal frequencies" available and are a lower power output. Barrett fab still has some of the original style r...

Re: Air comp. upgrade
Hank, I found the ARB pump LOUD as heck when it was under the hood in my TJ. How bad is it inside the vehicle when you turn the lockers on? I know it's just a second or two but its a bit loud at least the single pump was... I don’t find mine obnoxiously loud under the passenger seat, the seat and m...

Re: Air comp. upgrade
have you considered hard wiring your VAIAR to fill a hard-mounted portable tank and filling the tires form the tank while the pump is running? that is somewhat the plan I have. JP magazine did a write up with another pump and an affordable 5-gallon tank from Harbor Freight... considerably cheaper th...

Re: Rules in MA for unregistered/uninsured jeeps?
You happen to know if MA/NH have reciprocity? Like, if I have a sticker in MA does NH recognize it? separate sticker program. If you are street legal you don't need a sticker in NH. IF you have a buggy it allows you on class VI roads in NH if you get their sticker. ALL vehicles in MA are supposed t...

Re: Rubicon on the east coast
I have heard mixed reviews of the place. Its not too far from Rausch and the guys I know that went ended up hitting RC for the second day of their trip. Too much green trail to get to the good stuff but there was good stuff. Just not as well know as RC I'm still more than curious and had mentioned i...
