Longarm basics (originally posted at JeepForum.com)

Found the following post on JeepForum.com posted by "never monday" The stock TJ suspension is extremely well designed from the factory. It articulates well as is. Giving it a little lift (2-3") it'll still function quite well. When you start increasing the lift much over 4", the ...

AA SYE Install, Snap Ring Pliers??

According to a couple write up's installing the AA SYE requires the use of Snap Ring Pliers. Just wondering if anyone could suggest which snap ring pliers from sears would work?

Also any other tips/tools I should make sure I have available?

I am 99% sure this has been the issue from the start, don't think there should be this much play.

Re: front end knock and can't figure it out...

Possibly a loose or worn shock mount? Check for movement in both the top and bottom of the shock where it mounts while bouncing the Jeep. Kurt I think you are correct!! If I hold the body of the shock on the driver side, there is "some" play/movement. Where the passenger side there is no ...

Jon,

I can't remember his name, but you guys worked together. Just wondering if he is still out that way? Before you guys left, I remember talking to him at Lou's the day he had his new tires mounted.

Re: front end knock and can't figure it out...

Well it wasn't the ball joints, replaced them yesterday and the knock is still there ;(

Going to check the control arms this week. I think the knock is the sleeve slapping against the bolt caused by force going over a bump.
