Hello I am a past member of the club and am planning to sell my 98 TJ sport. Re: TJ belt squeak
probably a stupid question but i never rule out the basics. have you tightened the tension on your belt? the tension-er bolt is below your power steering pump. I did loosen and retighten the belt after checking the pulleys and anecdotally it it did seem to quiet down but I haven’t checked it or dri...

TJ belt squeak
Hi everyone. I am having trouble diagnosing an engine squeak. I know it’s a belt issue. If I spray water onto the ribbed side of the belt the noise quiets down which typically indicates an alignment issue. I have checked all pulleys and don’t feel any play except for the steering pump. It wobbles mi...

Need to replace radiator
Hi everyone,
I need to replace the radiator in my 98tj. It's leaking around the top seam. Any recommendations on a good quality replacement? Seems the original Mopar OEM is the recommendation online. Any suggestions what to get and where to buy?
Thank you

Vibration
Could it be an engine mount? Does the vibration correlate to the speed of vehicle or rpms of the engine? Don't think it's a mount. It doesn't change with engine speed and a didn't notice anything when I did the motor mount lift. I am going to check runout of the other rear axle when I get a chance ...

Re: Vibration
I have indicated the driver rear with a dial indicator and it was fine. I will do the other after I fix my jack. Thank you for your suggestion.

Re: Vibration
Frank wouldn't taking the front and rear drive shaft out eliminate the possibility of driveline vibration?

Re: Vibration
Well the only ujoints left are front axle shafts. I have replaced the drivers side ujoint recently and didn't feel anything wrong when I removed the hub assembly. Perhaps I should pull the passengers side and check it even though there is no play. I haven't replaced that one. Maybe the sound is trav...

Re: Vibration
Hi Guys. Unfortunately the rims didn't fully solve this problem. I am still chasing the vibration. Some more info. I can hear a wuwuwuwu sound that starts at 40 mph. I get an actual vibration on the highway at about 60mph with no steering wheel shaking. Feels like is coming from the back but the sou...
