Re: RIP KERMIT
2006 rubicon with only 73k on it. Pretty much stock but I've got some parts in mind. Mostly right now looking into a 2" OME suspension lift and 1" BL on top of some 33's and some nice bumpers. Don't want to go too extreme for this one, just a good DD and occasional weekend wheeler. http://...

Re: RIP KERMIT
I wasn't personally intersted in buying back at all, I just had a couple people intersted in what they could buy it back for. Honestly it didn't seem worth it. I was also have some tranny problems before the accident on top of the axle and frame damage from the accident. There was absolutely no way ...

Re: RIP KERMIT
Ok so I've done some reading and the general consensus is apparently once they have paid me the cash value on the vehicle they now own it and can choose to do what they want with it. They are not obligated to sell it back to me. Like Amanda said, they just want a profit. I'm going to try and find ou...

Yeah my buddy was telling me to do that. I'll look into it. Might be able to get a trail rig out of this.

RIP KERMIT
Hey everyone. I've haven't been involved in the club for about a year now, just haven't had the time to wheel. Some of you know I purchased Kelly's old TJ "Kermit" a few years ago. 2 weeks ago I got in an accident during one of the big storms when someone blew a red light and hit the jeeps...

Re: Need a new front DS!
Thanks Doug and Mike, i'll take both of your options into consideration. I don't think i'll be doing anymore wheeling for the rest of the year due to a very busy fall (retail job/ hunting season) so I wont need it until some snow starts to fall, so I hope to get the new one in the next month or so. ...

Re: Need a new front DS!
Are you saying they build shafts? It would be sweet if i had some local guys to build a shaft for me instead of getting it shipped, as long as the money is right.

Need a new front DS!
Soooo Kermit needs a new front driveshaft. Lately I've been getting some pretty bad, dash shaking vibration at 45 mph+. It felt like the front DS, so i went underneath to inspect it. All the u-joints are good, but the spline joint can wiggle back and forth a few MM or so. I removed it, and bingo! No...

Re: axle seals
Use a pipe, or even better, broomstick. The good thing about a broom stick is that its wooden and wont marr up where the seal sits when its knocked out. As far as installing, the fender washer and threaded rod is the more professional way to do it, but you can get away with using a big socket, usual...

Re: Rear locker not engaging?

Rear locker not engaging?
So the other day while inspecting some things, I was testing both lockers on Kermit in my driveway (in 4 low) moving back and forth slowly and the front locker engages after a second or 2 but the rear's light keeps blinking. I've turned it on only a few times while either on the trail or testing it ...
