There's actually a ton of places that have that same kind of law. It's primarily aimed at construction trucks and keeping the streets cleaned around sites. I've seen lots of people fined for it when I worked construction - but they were usually dump trucks and the like.

I'm in downtown Boston. That's why I'm hesitant on the external speaker, since anything that is in the jeep gets stolen. Seriously - I've had it for 2 months, and already three times. They'll take anything not behind the dash. I'm not sure that bolting it down will even stop them

Yes - I was thinking the passenger side tail light mount for the antenna? I was also figuring to mount the hand part closer to driver side so I can hear it? Unless we set it up easy to plug in the extra speaker.

Well, the 74 has an AMC 304 in it that runs beautifully, we took care of the steering, brakes, and fuel systems. It has a back woods SOA and the R&P angle is awful, so it spits out the drive shaft every so often (like every 20 miles). AND there is an electrical leak somewhere that sucks the batt...
