Re: D-44
Frankie have you verified that the pinion isn't centered or are you basing that on the axle shafts being two different lengths? On my old 44 rear I had a long shaft and a short shaft but the pinion was centered, it was simply based on the way the carrier was made.

Re: Tons, Atlas
Nice man... Really wish I had free time b/c I would really like to help out with these projects. Perhaps when Cam is 18 I will once again have free time. Maybe you can make it down for a day sometime this spring, getting to the fun part of the build now. I'd love to have you if you get free. Carl, ...

Cables are nicely adjusted, only thibg left is to fabricate a bracket for the reduction housing shifter, I'm going to put it through the slot my e-brake used to live. Yessir! Good news is I've found an HP30/8.25 up in Freeport from a '95 XJ on the cheap I can probably swap in in a day, 4.10 open/open. I'm figuring 3 days of work and I can have the axles swapped and the heep lifted and ready for the trail!

"New" Wrangler in the stable
1988 YJ 4.2/BA-10, 98,000 original miles, excellent mechanical condition, almost no rust! http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/03/01/he9usyve.jpg Plans are to do a 2.5" spring lift with new shackles and some 33's. Once the JK is rolling again I'll be swapping in a T18/D300, building either a set of 44'...

Free parking?
I think I'm about to pull the trigger on a nice, low miles, unmolested YJ. http://southcoast.craigslist.org/cto/3639529076.html At this particular time my garage is full. I have a buddy's TJ in there getting some frame patching done in my spare bay and my JK project is taking up tons of room. Does a...

Awesome, thanks a lot Carl! Saturday would be great, my goal is to spend friday cleaning the shop and doing the initial setup on the atlas so it'll be ready to go in saturday morning. I'll probably get started around 9
