Re: Replacement for Rubicon rear locker?
Have you thought of a Detroit Trutrac? It would be a cheaper, low maintenance option for the rear if you don't want to spend money on an ARB or Ox. It won't be a true locker since you can still spin a tire in the air but it should be adequate if you already have a front locker. I think a Detroit aut...

12voltguy rocks! Apparently, they recently updated their website. I went to order a remote winch switch with wiring but during checkout their website kept rejecting my shipping address b/c some fraud prevention tool wasn't working right. Bottom line is I emailed with them a few times, it still still...

I'd prefer a clean running diesel anyway.

interesting, and it was posted on 3/30 and not 4/1..... Doubt it would happen though.... we'll be lucky to see the penstar V6 this year... Saw this link on JeepForum. I don't know if it came from the factory or if it's a dealer installed AEV kit. http://www.boulderjeep.com/HEMIConversion-8416 "...

Re: Winch Install
Thanks, I don't think the power cables will really end up any longer so sticking to 2 gauge or whatever the winch comes with should be fine. I didn't understand that the 750A fuse holder I was looking at is rated for 2/0 gauge which is double zero (00), not 2 gauge. It's my first winch so I'm still ...

Re: Lift for JK 4 door rubicon
Dan - Maybe others will chime in, but why don't you start by adding the rocker step first. That'll give you an idea of what getting in and out will be like if you lift it 2, 3, or 4 inches. You can also come as a passenger for a trail ride or two to get a feel for the New England trails the club typ...

Winch Install
Hey Guys - I have some wire gauge questions. I just ordered a Superwinch Talon winch  ... and I'm trying to figure out how to wire in a power interrupt switch possibly with a 750 amp fuse (just in case!!!). I've read that 2 gauge wire is plenty for wiring a solenoid under the hood, but what...

The winch is only 2-dimensional - unless you've had a bunch of beersZAEDOCK wrote:One of the worst photochops I've seen.

That stinks. Did your tailgate get any damage? Is there a cross member back there that got bent too?

FWIW - I've been thinking of buying this one but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
I think I've noticed a couple Jeeps at Baystate with the EPI9.0S winch.

Advanced Adapters sells a bracket that eleminates the bracket mounted to the tub. It is worth every $$ IMO. I think I paid ~$70 Be careful with the Advanced Adapaters bracket b/c it's BIG . I had it and it worked great with the stock skid but it ended up hitting the tub with my Rokmen belly-up even...
