Re: Knock in the Steering
I have more than one knock in my steering although I am sure it has something to do with the bent tie rod and crushed / bent steering stabilizer from last weeks Killing Jeep Jamboree. Replacement parts arriving: new heavy duty tie rod/drag link, steering stabilizer, and PSC extreem kit. No money for...

Re: New Brakes
Bought the Black Magic set up: calipers, pads, and rotors. Talked to the guy there, Blaine who was very helpful. Also swapping out the 93 single diaphragm booster for a 95 dual diaphragm booster. Will also put in some stronger lines to hook all together. The only other option is to go to 16 to 17 in...

New Brakes
I have an unplanned opportunity to upgrade the front brakes on my 93 YJ. Right front caliper locked up so I need new calipers and rotors. I also need more stopping power then the stock brakes offer. I have an 8.8 with disc brakes on the back. Looking to upgrade the front to something stronger than s...

I have the MORE motor mounts and a belly up skid as well. Works great and never had an issue with the set up.

Re: winch accessories
Warn is one way to go. the other is to think of a winch as a commodity item that will last you some number of years and when it brakes buy a new one. My Super Winch stopped working. I dumped and got another Super Winch for $300. At that price it is not worth trying to fix it unless you can do it you...

Re: Jeep Replacement Seats
Joe, you are dependable. Milk crates are too low, or I am not tall enough to use them properly.
Will probably go with the Corbeau seats. Talked to a bunch of people who have them and they all have good things to say once you get over the cost.

Jeep Replacement Seats
My 1993 YJ seats are shot as they should be after 192,000-miles. I am looking to replace them this winter and am looking for suggestions. Constructive suggestions Joe.
Corbeau A4 or LG1; Mastercraft Rubicon or Baja; any others to consider?
Thank you in advance for your input.

AX15
Clutch is slipping. Had the clutch fail at 80K-miles and get redone. Now at 190K-miles I can feel it going again.
Any one recommend a good transmission place? Replace clutch, overhaul existing AX15, or upgrade to something else?
Please advise.

Re: Super Winch LP8500
I am thinking I will get a cheap Rugged Ridge winch and when/if it breaks I'll buy another one. Customer service seems a foreign concept at Super Winch. Done with them.

Super Winch LP8500
Added a Super Winch LP 8500 one year ago. It would not work on a cold January weekend as I guess it was just too cold. I did work the following week when it was warmer. It did work once in the spring. When I tried to use it a few weeks ago it would not work. Finally took the motor housing off last w...

Re: On-Board air
I have the ARB air lockers and the larger of the two ARB compressors mounted under the hood on the left fender and no tank. I am running 33x12.5x15 aired down to 8PSI off road and it takes me about 2.5-minutes to air up each tire to 26PSI after. Haven't timed it exactly but if I count to 90 and then...
