Re: CB radio

Old thread, I know. But...we are all at home anyway, so... I have yet to mount a CB in my WJ, but I had one in my last K5 Blazer and I have one in my GMC Sierra. I usually try to get one with the Weather feature and I personally like the older, classic metallic look, so I have a Cobra 25 with weathe...

Re: Best wax for your Jeep?

Nice shine on the Ruby, Matt. I see the Collin item is #845. Back in the day I used some stuff called formula 855 on tires and it was amazing. Then we couldn't get it anymore and I don't know if it still exists or not

Re: Best Jeep for offroad

Beforeally lifting, check your lower control arms condition, and check to see if you can rotate your drag link or your tie rod by hand. If you can, you should plan on replacing those as well, or you could end up with highway death wobble

Re: Best Jeep for offroad

Hi Mike and Frank I've got a 99 WJ with a "Kolak Special" with 2 inch Iron Rock Off Road lift springs and Pro Comp 9000 series shocks. True, the WJ has small wheel wells, so you either have to lift, or cut wheel wells to get bigger wheels under it, but it is every bit as easy as the TJ to ...

Re: Anyone used Kolak Performance?

So I stopped at Crown Automotive in Canton to pick something up. Kevin there knew a bit about WJ's and wanted to see what I was working on. He quickly determined that my drag link was worn out, but my track bar was actually nice and tight. I bought the entire drag link assembly and changed it out in...

Re: Anyone used Kolak Performance?

I'm told 2 inches lift doesn't move the axle enough to mater. 3, yes. 2 no.

Re: Wrenchfest! Now on Saturday

Indeed. Best friend ever. And his dad is like a father. Whatever day he settles on will be the day. If he swaps to Sunday, I will see you Saturday. If not, catch you at another opportunity.

Re: Anyone used Kolak Performance?

-Hazard- you may be right, I may go higher in the future, but for now, I'm still trying to make this measly 2" of lift work correctly. If IRO doesn't make a special track bar for a 2" lift, stock must be ok. Thanks very much for your suggestions and advice

Re: Anyone used Kolak Performance?

I just poured over the Iron Rock website for all things WJ. I'm gonna go out on a limb and sa that I think a stock bar will do at 2". They offer an adjustable one, but it starts at 3" of lift. I suppose that placing that one on there pushes things just as much in an opposite direction if i...

Re: Anyone used Kolak Performance?

I've not measured the placement of the axle per se. I presume, as you mention, that it's off a bit as I've not recentered. I'm also presuming that since it is only 2 inches of lift, that a stock track bar will do, and that I should not need an adjustable one. Am I right, there?
