I found myself a nice project to work on. I’m aiming for next spring to have it done. It’s a big bearing Ford 9” out of a 78 Bronco. I’m thinking an air locker and 35 splines. I’ll probably pick up some bead locks and swap out the front spacers for adapters to correct the bolt pattern.

Apply those to some magnets from hobby lobby or Michaels and throw them on the Jeep when needed.

Has anyone replaced their cb with a FRS radio? From my readings, I can use the same cable and just change out the antenna.

Going to 30 spline outers will make it more difficult to get a wheel bearing and an outer shaft in a pinch. The TJ d44 outer is the same as a d30 so you can find a replacement easily. My d44’s have survived many years on 35’s, and I only had one ujoint fail on the highway coming home from Rausch.

I can start to pull my transfer case skid so I can gently adjust it with a front loader and take the bend out so I can attach my engine skid.
