Smittybilt XRC Rear Bumpah / Tire carrier

Unread post by Carl McFly »

This thing is a BEAST! Has an integrated Class IV receiver hitch (that's a 9000 lb rating  ), dual D-ring mounts, powder coated and SOLID. I bought the optional tire carrier, that's another beefy piece of steel. Installing it soon and I'll update this post but right now, I'm REAL impressed with the quality of this. Instructions seem to be comprehensive and as far as I can tell, all parts shipped.

If you're looking for the best price around, AutoAnything has it. Their list price was reasonable but then you throw in free shipping and a 12% discount, and they had the lowest price I could find. Anywhere.

hah! Through the bumpah. I gained a couple inches of clearance, my old hitch dragged azz. I can actually see my gas tank skid with the new bumpah!

I remember those days!!!! That's why I totally reworked my hitch when I reworked the bumper last year. The support ring around the hitch tube was peeling off!!!!!!

UPDATE - Fit on this is outstanding. EVERY bolt hole lined up. Never seen anything like it.

Comes with some 'two stage powdercoat' or some chit. Powdercoat? Really? It's already scratched and all I did was install it. OK, I had to balance it on bricks, there's just no way in hell I could lift this, hold it AND install the bolts. But the powdercoat is black and shakey cans are cheap.

pffffffttttttt, pfffttttttttt..... good as new!

Installing the swing away tire carrier Friday or Saturday, hope that goes just as smooth
