New to me axle

Unread post by Danb33 »

I found myself a nice project to work on. I’m aiming for next spring to have it done. It’s a big bearing Ford 9” out of a 78 Bronco. I’m thinking an air locker and 35 splines. I’ll probably pick up some bead locks and swap out the front spacers for adapters to correct the bolt pattern.

Sounds like you got a good plan! Don't forget a pinion guard.

It’s on the list for sure.

I thought that you could get a Ford 9" with either a top and bottom pinion position. Was looking into doing a 9" front and rear at one point (Spidertrax)...

You don't want a high pinion rear. You are run on the wrong side of the gears
