Wrench fest 1 of 2 3/15 (Sunday) Operation stripper...

I'm not sure I will need two days but its somewhat likely. I just aquired a new to me 2010 JK Rubi. It has a busted Sway bar mechanism and a smashed fender and front bumper. No airbags deployed etc. So my plan is to sell my 2014 JKU and strip it down somewhat towards somewhat stock, I need to pull the synergy drag link/tie rod and PSC PS pump and put the stock pump from the 2010 onto the JKU. I also need to pull the front bumper winch combo and skids plates and sliders off the JKU and put the stock steps onto it as well as the stock bumper and "skid plate"
I plan to leave the 2" lift in as its probably too much works to pull it off the JKU.

Possibly separately I need to mount the skids off the JKU for the engine and transmission. put the front bumper on and swap tires and some other odds and ends like fixing replacing the front passenger fenders and install quick disco or repair the auto sway bar disconnect. Have not had too much time lately to look at the new Jeep and am waiting on the title from the auction house... Pics soon.

I’m not sure the pumps are interchangeable, different engines between the 2 jeeps. EVO has a sway bar disconnect lever that will take care of broke sway bar

Thanks, Randy! I just checked and the pump is the same 2007-2018 phew! I did not want to lose that thing given the cost and fact it was less than 6 months old. Had not planned on dumping the JKU but the cost of adding lockers and gears vs what it's still worth it made sense to go with a Rubi for less $$.

Does anyone know if it's worth it to add on the steering pump kit? Its kind of spendy and may need to wait until after I sell the JKU.

https://www.pscmotorsports.com/psc-pk1853.html

he PK1853 XD2 Pump and Remote Reservoir Kit is critical to a successful installation of any PSC Big Bore XD2 Steering Gearbox, Big Bore XD2 Overland Steering Kits, and Big Bore XD2 Cylinder Assist Kits.

The XD2 Pump produces 50 percent more volume than the OEM part and is a direct replacement for all
2007-11 3.8L engines.

I'll probably buy the hose kit for short money for the install.

Might be free to help Voodoo chilli!
Will keep ya posted.
Bumpers, slides, skids and tires should be easy and done quickly.
Disco's should be easy too.. never looked at an electric disco on a Rubi. Not sure whats there.

I've got a bunch of stuff I could do on mine, but I'd rather just assist with others projects. I'll bring my jeep and stuff so if people get bored we can make sure we all earn the pizza.

Most likely not going to be able to be there, but if I am, I just need to try to diagnose a noise in the rear suspension (I think).

well, bring your jeeps as I don't want this to be all about me. I prefer to try and give back as much as I get but I can't host too many of these next door as its not my shop and I don't want to lose access to Wayne's.

If anyone does not know the address for Sunday please PM me.
