New waitlister from Boston Update

Good morning! With it feeling like spring it felt right to try to introduce myself before trying to become a prospective member.

Proud new owner of a JT Gladiator overland, my first Jeep! Itching to get introduced to this world and on the trails. Thanks in advance for any advice and I look forward to meeting the club!

Hello Ryan,

Welcome to the forum and soon the club. Good luck with the build! A lot of people have put together some really nice Gladiators which is why I can’t buy one. Can’t afford another build and they look way too nice on 40” tires! Haha...

Haha 40’s and Dana 60’s someday...but baby steps for now. And it’s tough to decide on a direction with so many drool worthy builds out there want to use it a bit and let that dictate the direction. But tires recovery gear and lockers are on the short list

That’s the way to go. Wheel it and decide your weaknesses. Build from there.

Hope to see you on the trail!

No longer stock! Couldn’t hold off and pulled the trigger on an Evo Enforcer 2.5” lift with falcon 2.1 shocks and 35” Falken Wildpeaks. Just need this pandemic to pass so I can get it all dirty!

Welcome Dude . You have access to the site . There are a bazillion ways to build your ride . Its the order in which you do it is what can save you money. You didnt say if it was auto or stick . Do you know what axle ratio you have . The lift is worth every penny unless you plan on bigger tires , then hopefully its enough. Do yourself a favor and research a Tire Vs. gear ratio chart . It will help you decide . The 4 door JKs/JLs suffer in the trails due to length. Lift tires and lockers can and will help all of the. Look at some of our builds and what order. Dont double spend . See ya on a trail FjR68

Thanks! Have poked around a bit. Gladiator forum has been helpful and Eric at off-road elements was super helpful as well. Have 3.73’s and the 8 speed auto planning on stopping at 35’s, but lockers are on the horizon as well as recovery gear. Spoke to the guys at rebel off-road and they ran their overland on 37’s with the 3.73’s without a problem. They seem to beat on their gear a bit more than I plan to. Figure this can get me far enough to see where the rest of the build goes! See you out there!
