Most aftermarket systems flow better than stock . Id really look at the reviews and focus on noise (Drone). Some will drive you outta the cab . FjR68

Lou's custom exhaust is over by you. Probably be cheaper pick a muffler and have them bend the rest.

Well on my CJ I dont have a cat being a 74. I have had 3 maybe 4 different ones on her . I like sound but not drone. Your super 40 as they call them on a v8 is a little loud for me. On a 4 banger it would kill all the low end you got. I run a "Dynamax" round center in center out bout 15". 2.25 in and out but the center pipe inside is 2" . It keeps back pressure and sounds like it could be a v8 under the hood , but it aint. not loud but beefy ? Its what your gonna like that counts. You can look up some of "Monas" videos here on the site and see if its what you like. FjR68

The length hasnt anything to do with performance if thats what your askin . Its how a muffler is made inside . How many times the exhaust changes direction or how much sound absorbing material is in there. I chose the Dynamax because they had the configuration I wanted for the space . The ability to have a smaller pipe inside helps with torque and the in and out pipe matched what i already had . It dont sound like what I call a fart can on a Honda . Especially on an automatic. Look at Maybe an 80 series so it does more than a 40 . I dont know if they make them with your pipe size. Not that you cant have pipes bent to fit. Then theres the oval or round thing . Where it hangs or if your gonna move it out of danger. Hope this helps FjR68
