Detroit Locker

Unread post by Frank »

A friend has a 95 Wrangler with an 8.8 and a Detroit locker. With it jacked off the ground it has an enormous amount of rotational movement to the drive shaft before it moves the tires. It has started to bang (you know the sound they make) even while driving straight down the road. Every shift or on off the gas. Is it something that can be fixed ? Are they rebuildable or is it on the way out. Thanks FjR68
