I just picked up all the link arms and frame brackets for the coil spring conversion. If I go that way. Looks quite simple ! Hello Twoods, can you make this longer? FjR68

Started to repair her this weekend. Got all the spring and shocks off. Cut all the spring hangers , and shackle mounts off. The new leafs are from a 76-86 Cj so I need to replace everything with wider units. Turned all frame bolts and nuts around to weld nuts inside frame . The frame is getting boxed in so the nuts need to stay put. Starting this week Ill be Hanging front springs to show me the ride height for the rear as I have to match coil spring mounts with leafs. Then start on the four link rear. Ill get pics. FjR68

Mona stands on her new front suspension for the first time in three months ! Will post pics later tonight. Finally !! The frame is repaired , the front mounts are moved forward to the end of the chassis. The drag link and tie rod are parallel , should help with bump steer. Haven't decided on single or double triangulated rear yet , but its in the works. FjR68

Frame is boxed in, will post the pics. Now a decision on staying with leafs on all 4 corners or going to coils in the rear with a triangulated 4 link. I have the parts for both , but the coil conversion will cost 500. more than the leafs ! Either way she will be 9" longer . Oh yea, hello Mr. Woods ? FjR68

If you can't decide, run a 4 link with 1/4 elliptical leaves. 8-)

4 links are cool, and that's what is going in the rear my buggy, but for sheer simplistic performance, I still love the leaf.

Frank use the KISS method and get the hell back on the trail!!! Get r done! :bluesbros: Leafs are nice and easy as Joe said so keep cost down and maybe we will get lucky and see you on the trial before the end of the year... 8-)

I never had any issues with the way she was. But I really dont like the looks of an extended frame in the rear. Maybe look in the elliptical thingy . Thanks guys. Im frothing at the mouth to get behind the wheel ! FjR68
