Rules in MA for unregistered/uninsured jeeps?

Unread post by kehyler »

Hi All,

I'm curious what the rules/regulations are in MA for unregistered/uninsured jeeps? Is it legal to use them on private land?

Regardless if it's street registered or not street registered to be compliant you need a Mass OHV registration to drive on private property in Mass.
Same with New Hampshire. Like Mass if you wheel private property in NH and you are NOT street registered you need a NH OHV registration.

You happen to know if MA/NH have reciprocity? Like, if I have a sticker in MA does NH recognize it?

separate sticker program. If you are street legal you don't need a sticker in NH. IF you have a buggy it allows you on class VI roads in NH if you get their sticker.

ALL vehicles in MA are supposed to get OHV stickers. The money for that program is being set aside for 4x4 use, we are close to seeing something come of it. This is good news! Mike White of Mohawk and the NEA has been working hard to get us to this point and can use our support by getting stickers and having our numbers counted. :bluesbros:
