Need a shorter pitman arm

I want to move my front axle forward a bit but the steering linkage is too close. Is there a shorter pitman arm that will fit to gain a little clearance or do I need to move the steering box forward ?

Won't be able to do a shorter pitman arm, too much leverage on the steering box. Simplest solution would be to go to a fully hydraulic setup, but that's $$. Can certainly move the box forward and fabricate a longer steering linkage.

Kevin - are you looking for one that has less drop or one that is shorter from end to end?

Shorter end to end because if I move the axle forward it will be above the linkage and would bind. The pitman arm is slightly above the tie rod but would hit because the tie rod and drag link are almost parallel and would cross up of I move the axle forward. I figured a shorter arm would accommodate for the axle relocation.

You might want to consider a steering box relocation bracket.

If I move the box what do I have to do with the steering shaft?
This is what the linkage looks like now.

The steering shaft "telescopes" and can adjust for the added length needed.
Of course yours may be stuck at it's present length and may require removal and some work to get it sliding again.
The upper tube and the lower shaft get a bit rusty and stop sliding.

If it is the right spline count I think CJs used a flat stock pitman arm.
