Found an 8.8 for $250, 3.73's, discs, 31 spline. Out in springfield so I'll go see joe for engine and tranny while I'm "out west"

Keep looking Duncan, that's way too much $$ for that axle.

They can be found with 4:10s for a lot less than that. Probably closer to home too.

We pulled an 8.8 w/ limited slip, 4.10, & 31-spline out of Jack's pick-n-pull in Billerica for ~$150, as I recall.

Not in time for Rausch but a care package showed up from PSC today. I decided to armor up this thing before it gets dented up :)

Image

In the boxes:
Sliders (TJ wheel opening)
Corners with 3" flares (TJ wheel opening)
Full front fenders with 3" flares
BFH front and rear bumpers

The TJ wheel opening on the sliders will allow me to clear the 33x13.50's with 2.5" of lift and no BL. As such I've nixed the shackle lift I was going to do and will have revolvers at all 4 corners.

Thanks to Lou at Elias for receiving the shipment! Saved me a few bills on shipping!

27 spline 8.25 - not so much. If it were a 29 spline, I'd say go for it and would back it up with more pluses, like -
KJ/ZK bolt on rear disc brakes.
Lunch box lockers are budget friendly.
Strong housing/tubes (better than a stock 8.8 housing for off road)
No need to swap carriers for different ratios.

All that being said, I'm (Mike, hiding behind the PC yesterday) looking for HP D30 w/4.10s cheap to get my XJunk on the trail again. I have an 8.25 rear and disc brakes for mine already.
