Jeep Camo Wraps

Unread post by redd »

Has anyone installed a full vinyl wrap on their jeep body like these:

http://www.camo4u.com

It doesn't necessarily have to be camo, but I am sure the technique would be the same.

Nope.
Last Jeep makeover I did consisted of $30.00 worth of WalMart rattle cans.

Yeah, I agree with John...but I use Rockys Ace Hardware for my paint supplies. I just put a new windshield and side panels for the trip to Gretchens...Will try not to break it till Moab. No, not Moab either I hope!

Rustoleum rattle cans for my Heep.

Wraps are cool, though probably not a good idea if your going to wheel it. What happens when you scrape a tree or rock?

Probably somewhat scratch resistant with on road driving. Probably not so much when wheeling.

Paint is certainly more durable. I have done many Camo paint jobs on things from ATV's to firearms, to other sporting equiptment. using templates with shapes like leaves, branches, and grass to overlay several colors of flat earth tones will give a much better effect. You probably want to start with a good flat base color

Save your money on rattle cans. Buy an 9 dollar quart of Rustoleum reduce to 70/30 and go to town. You can buy a cheap HVLP gun at Home Cheapo and spray the whole Jeep. FjR68

We did do a full camo wrap on the jeep a few years back from Camo4u. Has held up really well...
