July 14th Run

Unread post by ChrisH »

Pictures from the "less aggressive" group.

Nice to be back out with Baystate after a couple of years away. Had fun testing out the new skids. Much appreciative of the help and spotting today.

Here is a video of Jen on the rocks, I missed getting the first part. Not bad for her first time off road in the Jeep. :)

And some pics of the now broken SwayLoc. Pretty sure this has been weakened over the years and not from her driving.

Found out it will be $325 to replace the inner and outer shafts for the SawyLoc. Sorry Chris the replacement / upgrade kit they are sending does not include an air actuator.

$325 holly crap! That should be covered under the warranty.

You can get a whole new antirock for less than that. A bit expensive for a replacement part that should be covered.

The system new costs about $980 and this repair will replace all the major parts so I think the $325 is fair. Mine is 5 years old also.

I don't care for the Antirock, they are no good on the street IMO. They are also in the $350 range.

Hands down I think this is one of the best upgrades. When you are fully disconnected, there is nothing forcing the tires to stick to the ground.

totally agree. having soft sway bars in both the front and rear offroad my rig stays nice and level going over stuff yet flexes like crazy. with leaf springs it doesn't really matter, but with coils it's a huge difference.
