AGR Steering Box

Unread post by Frank »

I purchased an AGR Super Box 2 last Feb. from Q-tech . It only took 7 months for it to go bad. I found I was having trouble turning left. After speaking to the Co. rep at AGR I was sure I wouldnt do business with them again. He blamed everything else on the Jeep but his components. Speaking to a Q-Tech customer service rep. He called AGR and returned my call to let me know it was takin care of. Doing research all that morning I found several sites complaining of the same problem with box 2. One person said it got so bad he couldnt turn left at all. Reading a lot of post , I found out the guy that started AGR was bought out and then sold his shares because of cuts and started PSC ! So my recommendation will be to go with another steering box Co. other than AGR . FjR68

I can tell you what I said before... We no longer use either one of those companies at work, when given a choice, because of increased amounts of failures from leaks to total steering gear and pump failures.
I hate seeing this happen to people.

Does the Co you use have a variable ratio or a straight 12x1 3 bolt box for a CJ ? Flare fittings. Whats the brand , or is it a GM box sold by someone else. FjR68

They open at 10 am out time, so I'll call and see what they have.

Frank, I need you to contact me through work.
978 597 8432 or e-mail me at elias4wd@gmail.com

Flare fitting - no problem
Variable ratio is available.
12:1 ratio is doable, too.

The box would be built to your specs.

Turn around time is pretty quick.
There is a core charge.
There is shipping fess on the core and on the new box.
