Tread Lightly! Tread Trainer Course

Unread post by BlackNBlue-ISH »

Hey all!

Last year in November I took the Tread Lightly! Tread Trainer course and was able to learn what it means to Tread Lightly, and the various aspects of responsible outdoor recreation. The description given:
The Tread Lightly! Tread Trainer™ course is designed to provide an in-depth look at outdoor ethics focusing on motorized and mechanized recreation on both land and water. The Tread Trainer Course requires active participation throughout the course. Successful candidates are qualified to teacher Awareness Courses and present the Tread Lightly! message consistently to others in their state or region. Participants will work with a Tread Lightly! Master Tread Trainer on understanding the role outdoor ethics play in the recreation community, learn the Tread Lightly! principles of responsible recreation, develop an action plan for outreach in their community, and be provided with the tools to conduct a variety of learning opportunities including training user groups and outdoor enthusiasts through an awareness course.
The Master Tread Trainer reached out to me to see if anyone else in the jeep community would be interested in taking this course as well. He is very interested in hearing from the 4wd community as we all recreate in the world together and he wants our input.

If anyone is interested in taking this course, here are the details:

November 18, 2017 (This is the same date as our Gremlin Graveyard/Pot Luck)
$28.00
BSA Knox Trail Council
Hudson, MA

I don't have the answer for that. The trainer needs to prepare a few documents and stuff for whomever signs up, so I would imagine a couple weeks prior to be safe.
