Head lights/fogs

Unread post by ASauer17 »

Anyone have a set of fogs that connect to stock wiring or head lights that they like?

Just got a new-to-me front bumper (damaged last month and rear bumper). Both installed- factory fogs are back on. But looking for an updated look?

If i get LED fogs then I need LED head lights..
My KC fogs don't work as they have to be rewired.

RC has lights.. Do I trust them? Haha

I put on the Quadratec brand LED headlights and am very happy with them. They're about 90 times brighter than the stock candles they install at the factory. I did have to finagle the driver's side in order to adjust it left-right but once I did they were perfect. No regrets on that purchase. I still have incandescent fogs but the headlights are so good I no longer use them anyway!

I HAVE to use my stock fogs at night or I legit can't see- so that is a good option.. I'm on their website looking around. It would be nice to not rely on fogs

I was the same way. I used them literally all the time. Since putting on those headlights I haven't turned them on once!

Yes, those are the ones (except for the JK of course... I also got the "stealth" ones which have the Q blacked out).
I didn't do tails because I just can't justify the cost. Since the tails don't help me at all (I don't use them to see) and the JK taillights are in a vulnerable spot (they get crushed frequently, ask Ralph...) I don't want to put up the cash just to say I have LED tails.

Do you have the wiring for the fogs, or will you need to wire in a switch/relay?

I have a different system on my TJ, its an aftermarket halogen bulb upgrade simlar to:

Then I put an LED bulb conversion in: link

Its cheaper overall, but likely not as good as the quadratech product you posted. As far as wiring fogs, if you have stock wiring, just splice/solder the wires together. If you don't have wiring, just wire in a switch the proper way to eliminate drawing too much power from the headlight wiring.
