Re: MA Fender coverage
have a recommendation on a Jeep friendly inspection station? 1. As small a state as MA is, it still would be helpful to know where you are. If you're in Provincetown, I wouldn't want to recommend a place in Adams. 2. Watch your PMs for an answer. Don't expect anybody to post here in a public forum,...

Re: How to sell the wife on new rims?
OK so I just noticed this post. Are you sure you want to put new rims on the wife before you sell her? It's unlikely that you'll get your investment back. Probably not worth new rims, unless the ones on her now are in really, really bad shape... I'd just leave the old rims on her and get what you ca...

Re: Cordless Drill / Impact Driver
All I can say is stay away from Ryobi. They sucked me in with their "One" battery that fits everything. It doesn't.

Re: Greetings Earthling Jeepers!
Welcome Manda We don't require a winch, just the recovery points (tow hooks) that appear to be on the front of your Jeep already. If you don't have the back one, I've got 2 that I'm not using. Other than that, there's a short list of inexpensive required equipment that you can find here: http://bays...

I can tell you this from experience, now is the time to advertise it. I put one on CL in the spring and got nothing. Same top in the fall sold first day.

Re: I'd still prefer a Rubicon
Too tall - easy target
Suicide doors for rear passengers = scary
Too heavy to be maneuverable
Too big for urban ops
No thanks.

Re: Adjustable Control Arm issue
Josh - Not brand new, they've been installed for almost a year now. I suspect the problem was caused by the lock nut not being checked / re-torqued after installation (in other words, my fault). Frank - that was my plan - adjust it, then weld the threaded heim joint to the tube. There really doesn't...

Adjustable Control Arm issue
Looks like my "free" lower ACAs are going to cost me some $ after all. (I won' them in the Evelyn fund raiser auction, bid $40). Anyway, one of the arms is stripped out. If I tighten the locknut, it just keeps turning and lengthening the CA. I'm thinking of welding it - thoughts? Opinions?...

Nice bumper. Pretty minimal, which is cool. Is that galvanized?
I like those recovery points, they look really tough.

Welcome, Dan
The JKs and JKUs perform well right out of the box, with a small lift and 33's they're good. Make sure you add any armor you can afford - rocker protection and an evaporative cannister skid are good starters.
See you on the trails.

South Shore Children's Museum Touch-A-Truck
Brought my Jeep to an event for the South Shore Children's Museum in Hanover - a Touch-A-Truck They had military vehicles, heavy duty wreckers and dump trucks, police vehicles, corrections prisoner transports (paddy wagons), all kinds of stuff. Must have had > 200 kids crawling around in it, touchin...
