Re: Rausch Creek 2021

Just noticed that the calendar has Rausch listed for June 16-20, which is Fathers' Day weekend.

Re: MetalCloak Fenders and rockers

Thanks. For those concerned about passing inspection in NH, no issues, it passed. Also, turned out the guy doing the inspection used to wheel and was a member of Deep Woods Extreme a long time ago.

Re: MetalCloak Fenders and rockers

Thanks guys. The 8” flares look like they cover the tires enough for inspection, what about the rears? They are the exact same coverage (when viewed from the top) as the Bushwacker flats that were on there previously, so theoretically they should be no issue. Worst case, I'll make a plastic spacer t...

Re: FRS in their Jeep

I'm using a cheap RG 58A/U cable that is good to about 1Gz to get from the radio mount to the "behind the tail light" antenna mount. I have a short adapter cable from the PL-259 of that cable to the SMA connector on the radio and the same type of insulating mount as the CB antenna at the m...

Re: Stock or upgrade - Rubicon D44 front axle

Didn't have any real issues with the install other than the ball joints I selected, don't use the Teraflex ones. LOL If you haven't ever had the hubs off, you can use the steering as a press to help push the hubs off using a deep socket on the hub bolts and having someone gently turn the steering wh...

Re: Smashed oil pan

Even with a full engine skid I managed to damage an oil pan when a 3-4 inch diameter log came up between a control arm and the skid. Just plain bad luck with it exactly the right length and angle to make it there.

Re: 4 wheel Inflation/deflation setup

For the hot part right out of the compressor (I have an ARB dual) you can use E85 fuel line (flare fitting). Adapters from NPT to Flare are easy to find on Amazon. That hose comes in metric (ID= 6, 8, 10MM etc). The E85 rated hose is lined with thermoplastic (PTFE Teflon) good for 400F/3000psi. Out...
