Re: Local frame sand blasting vendor
Sweet! Looks good!
One day I hope to have room to strip down a Unimog or two, I may bring them some bits to clean up at some point.

Re: Local frame sand blasting vendor
For a boat trailer, I'd consider hot-dip galvanizing. A 2 minute search on Google shows a number of places in the area that do it, and some of them sandblast as well. I'd at least get numbers for the cost.

Re: Poison spider rock rails
I think you really want to lean towards the first. The body armor covers the side of the tub, I'm not convinced how much protection from underneath it gets you. Here's a picture of it installed on a 4 door. Look where you still see the body-colored paint - http://pix.poisonspyder.com/Products/Rocker...

I'm free Thursday evening. Not sure how long it'd take me in traffic after 5pm from Littleton, MA however.

Yup, I now know how much I cannot lift :-) Get it bent back out, and reinforce it.... BTW, you aren't having fun until your back tires are so light you can't actually turn. Instead, the tractor follows the front wheels, and the back wheels gently crab sideways over the ground, resulting in quite th...

Re: Winch Question
I've been running a T-Max 9k winch for 10 years. Had one minor issue with the free spool mechanism. Took it apart, identified a bad bit, called the company, had a new bit in my hand 2 days later. I can't complain.
