Re: Looking for XJ

I just drove to Everett to look at a 97 2door XJ only to have the douche sell it from under me moments before I got there. The guy was inside sining the paperwork. I even called him when I was half way there, and he said "cool, It's waiting"

People suck.

Re: Looking for XJ

ANOTHER STUPID QUESTION:  Thoughts on Grand Cherokees? Are they to difficult and expensive to lift? I would rather stay with an XJ but there are a LOT of WK's out there for sale cheap. http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/media/suspension/wk/wk45_02.jpg    Rusty's has a 4.5 lift for $1,5...

Re: Looking for XJ

Little old but... could have a D44. http://southcoast.craigslist.org/cto/2207494185.html I don't see a tow hitch on the back so I'd doubt that it has the D44. On the up side, being an '87 odds are that it has the NON C-CLIP D35 so at least the wheel will stay put when a shaft snaps  :twist...

Re: Looking for XJ

I don't need a monsta rig to wheel. Besides, with a fixed roof rig I'd rather have a low COG. C'mon, I've got 5.5" of lift and 35" skinny tires. My rig is quite stable on and off the pavement :o :o :o No lift (well maybe a little) & 33's. 8-) Oh, I'll do a 2"-3" lift and 32'...

Re: Looking for XJ

First I need an XJ... then we'll talk axles. I'm only going to do a mild build, and maybe 32's so axle swaps are not tops on the list. What is with you and 32's? If you need a TSL 32 spare I have one, I'm still looking for a 33 non directional, but you can have your old 32 :P I don't need a m...

Re: Looking for XJ

I had a 29 spline 8.25 that was out of an explorer. I sold it in pieces. I'm going to look for something in the 1999-2001 range so it should have an 8.25. IF I can find a 91-95 w/o a bunch of rot I'd go for it but this is going to be a DD also so, something newer may be better for me.

Re: Looking for XJ

http://maine.craigslist.org/cto/2165609564.html

2" lift "professionally installed" for $1,000. I'm in the wrong business.

$2,500 for an 2000 XJ w/ 214k on the odo.

Whats a "center console computer"?

There definitely is a lot to chose from across NE and NY.
