Re: Upgrade time... Lift, disconnects and control arms?
I have a 2012 2dr JK with the TF 3" and the TF 8 arm Sport fixed FlexArms. Got the FlexArms to improve flex along with sway bar disconnects and to correct pinion and caster angle. Pinion angle was important for my Tom Woods drive shafts. I like the TF fixed flex arms because they are made spec...

Upgrade time... Lift, disconnects and control arms?
On my Jeep I have 255/75r/17 BFG MT tires…. brand new. 31” roughly. Will upgrade tires to 35 when these wear out. Was thinking of doing the following: Teraflex 2.5 lift kit with shocks and springs. Was gonna add in: JKS Front Swaybar Quicker Disconnect Thinking of also adding in: Teraflex Sport Fixe...

Re: 54" Trail Jack Help/Suggestions
I took the rear seat belts off the other night and free up some room so it was on to the trail jack! I decided to take Kurt's advice and for 8 bucks I got me a cool jack mount! Right where I want it and it's easy on/off. The guy at the parts store was like... say what? Then he saw what I was doing a...

It's contagious right? I have been out in my Jeep every day after work doing similar.... Took off the rear seat belts... cause I don't have a back seat! Building a custom trail jack mount.... cause I can! Working on a custom tool/goodie organizer for the back... cause it's light out till past 7! I t...

Re: 54" Trail Jack Help/Suggestions
Thanks BlackNBlue-ISH. Not sure I like a huge jack mounted right there. If you do get it, give us some feed back after a few times driving with it. Frank - I will look at your setup too and see how it looks. I wont cut it just yet... will look around at the 101 and see what others have and see if I ...

Re: 54" Trail Jack Help/Suggestions
I have not seen it on JKs too much but another option depending on your bumper is to mount it on the front bumper. My TJ had a mount like that on the original bumper waaay back in the day. https://www.quadratec.com/sites/default/files/styles/product_zoomed/public/product_images/JackMount_W_Jack.jpg...

Re: 54" Trail Jack Help/Suggestions
Either you can buy special clamps to mount it to the roll bars or you can make your own out of a couple of exhaust pipe clamps. If you find the 54" is too long simply cut it down to the desired length. Thanks Kurt! I was thinking of chopping off 10" to make it easier to move. Will look at...

Re: JK Rear Seat Removal
Yes, I Finally got it out. Had it ratchet strapped together, whacking the brackets with a hammer and 4x4, prying with a huge pry bar and then a flat shovel. I ended up cutting the cable for when the seat folds down, my son was pulling that as I jammed a flat shovel under the catch and bracket and fi...

Re: Seat repair / Foam issues
Sal made my crappy seat that I needed a pillow to sit on and drive into a brand new, comfy seat that I will enjoy for miles and miles! Glad he's good at sewing cause in Home Eck I sewed a girls finger to something.... haven't went near a sewing machine since. I didn't realize mud was as bad as you s...

Re: Seat repair / Foam issues
Frank - Never really played on the rocks. Willing to grab a passenger seat so you can show me the way... let me know. I have always been a mud guy! So my Upholstery guy called late yesterday and had my seat done. Sweet! I said I would pick it up this morning. Went and got it and it looks and feels a...

Offroad Elements, Inc.
Wanted to post up a great experience dealing with Gillian at Offroad Elements. She was great working with me in deciding what goodies I needed for my Jeep. I ended up getting a Front Bumper, Back Bumper and Rock Sliders. I had the plastic bumpers on and that was not gonna cut it on the trails so tim...

I look on CL once a week to see what for sale or free.... some good stuff on there from time to time.
I thought getting it redone would be the best way to go. Now my new to me Jeep has a new seat for me to thrash in the woods!
Lets get muddy!!
