Re: 4" Lift Kit for my JKU Sport
Sell the gift cards buy a complete kit that all works together. Or talk to a shop see what they can do for you. If you buy a bunch of parts and have a shop install it they are going to charge more just because you didn't buy from them plus guaranteed you will be missing something you don't even thi...

Re: GM 5.3L issues
Does this 5.3 have AFM? I've read that the AFM system is notorious for top end damage. The system deprives the shut down cylinders of oil when activated leading to abnormal wear. I've been looking into the AFM disabler for mine. It does have the AFM system, but the lifter that failed was not one of...

Re: GM 5.3L issues
I looked at the rental tools available at a couple different chains and nothing fit the bill.
I bought a flex-hone thing on Amazon, basically a 180 grit thing. If that doesn’t cut it, I’ll look into the dremel flap disk or other options noted above.

Re: GM 5.3L issues
Auto parts use to rent them for wheel cylinders.. Round file. Dremel. Where are the pieces? I'm hoping the pieces have made their way to the oil pan, I put a few hundred miles on the truck after the ticking noise started. Dan look at places that sell Dremel bits. They have flap sanders that small y...

GM 5.3L issues
I’m pretty far along into this project, but a couple months ago I developed a ticking noise in my Silverado’s 5.3L v8, and after investigation, cylinder 3 intake lifter was stuck and/or non-functioning. This past weekend after getting all my parts in hand, tore the engine open and found the stuck li...

Re: Stock or upgrade - Rubicon D44 front axle
I used a socket on the bolt with a mini-sledge to push the hub out, a little bit on each of the two side bolts. It worked itself out easy enough that way.

Awesome! Another TJ!
I wheeled mine pretty hard on 31’s for a couple years. Invest money into your engine skid, transmission skid while getting that super valuable seat time and you’ll be golden!

Re: Tow trailers for Jeeps
Everything Mark said. I think it’s the beat option to get the towed vehicle completely off the ground, that way if something in the drivetrain breaks, just get it on the trailer and that’s it. I broke a ujoint recently, and had I not had the trailer, the whole joint and axle shaft would’ve needed to...

Re: Jinxed myself D44 Rubi front
Nice!
I just swapped in a new ujoint and outer shaft on the passenger side. Made sure the c-clips were properly seated, hopefully I don’t run into this issue again soon. Need to save $$ for those RCV’s.

Re: PSA: Wheel locks (locking lug nuts)
whatever choice "you" make for security of wheels, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE KEY ON THE TRAIL WITH YOU. Even if you are sure you put it back in your glove box after you used it last, check it again before you leave the house.

Re: Jinxed myself D44 Rubi front
I can see the ad now. TeraFlex Knurled Ball Joints, only installed once for 24 hours and greased. Never wheeled, clean title. I presume these would be good for someone who needs ball joints that also needs knurled, but isn’t running RCVs. I got that description, but don’t need balljoints yet, and w...
