Re: Bad Experience with 4WD
Most of the time the Cos. that mix paint will also go out to the vehicle with a Ray-Gun looking gizmo. It looks at your paint to help them mix it to what your paint is now that its been in the sun . The older the vehicle is the lighter it becomes. Cool tools are the best ! I just told LL Bean to ta...

Re: Bad Experience with 4WD
I called my order in using my ID number. I had no issues with price or the free shipping, but their total lack of follow through in my requests for information and the fact they were going to let me wait 4-5 weeks minimum on a back order without telling me leaves me stone cold in ever wanting to do ...

It'll be the first time I've paid off a vehicle loan without first selling the vehicle haha, I'm workin on a personal record of ownership of a singular vehicle. My record used to be 2 years, I'm coming up on 5 on the TJ. My personal record for longest vehicl...

Re: Bad Experience with 4WD
Good to know. Surprised they can do spray cans at all, let alone while you wait.Yipjeep wrote:You can always buy the exact paint needed from a local auto parts store. The federated auto near me will mix a spray paint can while I wait. Exact color. Plus they beat dealer price.

Bad Experience with 4WD
I placed an order with 4WD recently for filler primer, Deep Cherry Red Base paint and clear coat. I received the primer and clear coat last Thursday. I then proceeded to call customer service (CS) to inquire about the missing DCR base, I was told it wasn't in stock and would be dropped shipped by th...

Re: Tires and wheel size
Take a look at the Nitto Ridge Runner tires, their newest line. They are a hybrid of a Mud Terrain and A/T, are relatively quite and are a great compromise for a daily driver. Very happy with mine. I'm also running stock 17" wheels with Spidertrax 1.5" spacers. http://www.nittotire.com/lig...

Re: BSJ Newbie Breaks His Jeep - on First Trail Run!
Thanks for the kind words, Matt. Great looking Jeep you have there. A couple years ago I knocked my steering stabilizer completely off one end at GG. Ended up installing a relocation bracket and a Teraflex stabilizer. Break/Fix/Repeat! http://i1175.photobucket.com/albums/r624/RalphTomaccio/Jeep/Stee...

Welcome, Bob.
You are correct in your thinking about BSJ being family friendly, including your dog. Sounds and looks like your rig is quite well equipped and ready to go. How much wheeling experience do you have?

Re: Lifts and tires - Reliable research information
The research continues. I had a long chat with Chris at Elias and gathered some additional info and discussed running 35's with the Dana 30 which several folks at events have said isn't the best idea. He recommended a 2" lift if I wasn't doing the 35's at the same time as it would look disprop...
