Jeep never offered a 390. The 360, or 401 would be cased on either side of the block.
The J10 also has a 13 digit vin so you the link above wouldn't work for you.

It's possible the thermostat isn't opening fully. You can check it with a thermometer, pan of water, and heat.

Re: Electric Fan Conversion
I use a contour dual fan, bmw 2 stage temp switch, and volvo fan controller. Both fans run on low at 190* and high at 210* I grabbed everything at the boneyard for under $25.

Re: Dana 44 Front end
The 44 has internal hubs an improvement other the external hubs on a D-30. Yes, the FSJ and Chevy small spindles will fit your D-30 knuckles. The hubs do not stick out past the tire on a 10.50 wide tire Below (link) is my front NT cherokee 44 I installed on my CJ5. I cut 4” off the diverside and I c...

Re: Dana 44 Front end
I used 91 ford hubs and small bearing spindles (the ford hubs won’t fit the large bearing spindles). You can buy new small spindles Spicer PN 706528X or they can be had on any '74-'76 FSJ or '73-'76 chevy You can also machined down a large spindles. You will need the correct wheel bearings as well.

Re: Jeni's New Truck
Frank, I'm pretty sure the Tundra is built in North America, with more Made in USA parts than the American trucks. Yes, built in Texas where the plant employs over 1,800 Americans, and built with more American parts then the other three (sad). The Dodge trucks use 70% , Chevy trucks 61% and Ford tr...

Re: Transmission fluid
Coastal GL5 is safe for yellow metals but not all GL5 are built the same. Yellow metal friendly GL5’s have to pass the ASTM D130 test to qualify for MT-1 rating. Basically it’s a copper strip corrosion test to evaluate the corrosive tendencies of oils to copper containing materials. If you have conc...

A manual tranny doesn’t have the same heat strains as an engine, using synthetic in a manual gear box is a monetary waste.

Re: YJ on Tons Build Saga
Both the front & rear were 1/2" so there was not need for any drilling. I had my share of "drilling" when I bored the rear spindles! :-o Cool - I'll look into the chevette part # H36847 for $8. Gotcha ford is 1/2' and chevy is 9/16" I was lazy I cut off my spindles and had t...

Re: YJ on Tons Build Saga
Did you drill out for the larger 9/16 studs to match the front or did you stay with the stock 1/2'-20? If you haven't purchased the rear brake hose I use a short one from a chevette part # H36847 $8

Re: Low Oil pressure when braking
A factory new 6/8 cyl has a PSI of 13 at 600 RPM. The Coyote 5.0L in my truck has much higher pressure than that to operate the intake and exhaust VVT. The 2.5L in my Heep idles about 800 @35-45 PSI depending on the oil's temp. Don't forget too, that when you hit the brakes, the ECM raises ...

Re: Low Oil pressure when braking
I’m assuming the oil is clean and topped off. I’m also assuming with the radio and brakes applied you’re at 600-700 RPM. If this is true everything is working as it should. A factory new 6/8 cyl has a PSI of 13 at 600 RPM.
I hope this helps

I felt bad you were getting stung Joe but wasn’t much anyone could do however, what the camera didn’t catch was the sprint down the hill followed by high knee pumps while spinning like a top, kinda like an Indian rain dance. =)
