Reviving an old thread.
Going to order a front driveshaft from Tatton. Should I go with greaseable or non-greaseable u-joints? I see differing opinions on this... I have yet to blow up any u-joint so I'm leaning towards sticking to greasable even though they're not as strong. What do you think?

Re: WDYDTYJT?
Replaced the front drivers unit bearing yesterday which was starting to get some play. Drove it to work today and couldn't tell it was any better than the usual jeep ride

Re: Cage Moving and Causing Door Issues
Got the frame rot repaired at Elia's. Still haven't nailed down why the B pillar is moving rearward

Re: Inspection Stations
Looks like the inspection stations will foot the $5,710 equipment bill and the fee will remain $35. http://www.thedrive.com/sheetmetal/13889/massachusetts-car-enthusiasts-fear-new-inspection-program https://www.massdot.state.ma.us/Portals/0/docs/infoCenter/boards_committees/boardDirectors/RMVInspect...

Re: Inspection Stations
Holy cannoli! So who will pay for the new workstations with cameras? My understanding is that the current $35 inspection charge is based on a half hour of work. Is that likely to go up?

Re: Cage Moving and Causing Door Issues
Rear crossmember is bending from slamming the gas tank skid, but if anything, it would be pushing things forward not backward like what is happening.MDSRACING398 wrote:If the rear crossmember is rotting there are two body mounts there and two by bumper. Where did the tree hit jeep?

It passed inspection today as is. "It's good enough" I was told. Can't understand why some of you have issues getting the sticker!

Cage Moving and Causing Door Issues
Went to Lou’s this morning and they may have found some frame rot. Ha! Bigger problem is that Chris figured out that the passenger B-pillar is moving rearward and pulling the door opening and windshield with it, but there’s no obvious cause. It got so bad after Fall Crawl that I had to unbolt the he...

Re: Oil Pan Skid
Just to offer a different opinion, I've been bashing my aluminum under cover fab engine skid for years and years. More expensive but much lighter. And, I agree that the Fumoto valve is a worthwhile mod. Worry free and makes oil changes with a skid easy.

Re: A/C issue
Update. To clarify, a/c cycles with fan on low driving or standing, a/c clutch doesn’t engage with fan on high while driving or standing. Bought a Mopar 99-04 3 speed switch and it fixes the problem. BUT, speeds are Low-Med-High-OFF (not a 4 speed switch). I’d have to get creative with a dremel to m...

Re: A/C issue
I first noticed the issue while driving but then figured out the a/c wouldn't engage while standing/idling under high fan. The a/c works fine under low fan while driving or standing.
Went to Autozone but their replacement blower switch doesn't have the correct knob arm on it

Re: A/C issue
At high speed the compressor doesn't cycle. Does cycle at low speeds.
I guess it might be the speed switch since the blower resister is bypassed at high speed if I understand it correctly.
